Microtest Base Unit (MTBU) |
 |
 |
The torque transducer series is designed for the
measurement of static and dynamic torque, in both
directions, in any installation position. They are
available in different sizes, hand-held, stationary,
or rotary transducers. |
|
They are miniaturized, with an ergonomic design,
providing for
maximum operator comfort. All Microtest
Sensors require the Microtest Base Unit to function. |
|
|
Typical
applications are quality assurance, torque check and
adjustment for tools, and process control and measuring
technique in the laboratory. The sensor elements incorporate
strain gauges of the highest quality and are sealed for
protection against most industrial environments.
The
small-sized brushless rotary torque transducers, ROTAX, are
also available with an integrated encoder for precise
monitoring of torque and angle. All sensors are supplied
with a factory certificate of calibration. The standard
accuracy class is 0.5%. Due to the integrated sensor
electronics, the receivers are very disturbance
insensitive. A data memory in the sensor electronics
enables the automatic sensor recognition (auto detect) by
the Microtest Base Unit. As the calibration
data is stored in each sensor, calibration can be done independently of the Microtest base unit.
The basic
functions (momentary/peak value display, data output mode,
limit value monitoring, language selection) can be set up by
the user with LCD and keys. The parameter values and user
configuration are stored in the respective sensor.
The
measurement of the torque or force is bi-directional with
specification of the appropriate sign. An I/O interface
enables the connection with the external controllers.
