Microdrive MD Series

MODEL: MD05P, MD10P, MD20P, MD50P, MD80P, MD100P, MD200P, MD400P, MD800P

The MD-P Series is supplied in the same housing as the RS Transducer controlled screwdrivers.  However, these tools do not include the internal rotary transducer that the RS series does.  Torque is controlled by monitoring the current load on the motor the same as it is for all MD series tool.  Unlike the MDL Series the encoder is located directly on the shaft of the motor as it is on the RS series tools, providing the highest possible accuracy of angle control.

These tools are a direct alternative for the more expensive RS transducer controlled tools.  At nearly half the price they can be good alternative to consider when your budget it tight.

You do give up quite a bit of quality control however, due to the lower repeatability spec and testing should be done before deploying these tools for thread cutting or forming applications.

Specifications:

 - Torque repeatability is normally 5% but it is dependent on RPM and joint type.

-  Angle control is .5% degrees.
